Who is Team Pain?

Team Pain is a network that is formed  by the graduates of the Certificate in Pain Management (Train Pain Academy) and the Post Graduate Diploma in Interdisciplinary Pain Management (UCT). These like-minded graduates have got together to further expand their knowledge and skills in the area and to offer support to each other.

Activities take place on the Vula learning platform and access is free of charge to members.

The aim of the activities is to expand members’ skill set and knowledge by teaching and learning from each other in interdisciplinary collaborations and by identifying and sharing resources.

At present activities offered are:

  • Monthly workshops in the form of live discussions around a chosen topic which is facilitated by one of the Team Pain members.  Articles and tools are distributed before the meetings so that members can contribute to what is usually a lively and interesting discussion.
  • An informal chat room is available where members can discuss difficult cases.
  • Resources are continually being identified and uploaded onto the site to share with all.

Team Pain is currently facilitated by Tracy Prowse, a clinician and graduate and a facilitator of Train Pain Academy’s "Knowledge into Practice" module.

If you are a graduate of the Certificate in Pain Management or of the PG Diploma in Interdisciplinary Pain Management and would like to join Team Pain please email Tracy (This email address is being protected from spambots.
